Swage Locked I-Bar Grating
Swage Locked I-Bar Grating is one of our most popular aluminum grating products. The I-Bar shaped bearing bars provide equal strength to rectangular bar grating of equal depth, but at a lighter weight and lower cost. The I-Bar shaped bearing bars are available in 7 different depths ranging from 1" to 2-1/2". Swage locked I-bar grating is offered in either 1-3/16" (19-spacing) or 15/16" (15-spacing). The striated flanges provide a slip resistance surface without the additional cost of serration.

Swage Locked Rectangular Bar Grating
Swage Locked Rectangular Bar Grating is the most widely used pressure lock type of aluminum grating. The bearing bars are available in 7 different depths ranging from 1" to 2-1/2". Swage locked rectangular bar grating is offered in either 1-3/16" (19-spacing) or 15/16" (15-spacing).

The rectangular bearing bars are available as a solid plain rectangular bar or can be serrated on the top surface for slip resistance (shown in the image below).

Aluminum Dovetail Grating
Aluminum Dovetail Grating is a type of pressure locked bar grating that offers a rectangular crossbar that is flush with the top surface of the rectangular bearing bars. The bearing bars are available in 7 different depths ranging from 1" to 2-1/2". Dovetail grating is offered in either 1-3/16" (19-spacing) or 15/16" (15-spacing) - Check Availability. This style of grating is widely used in architectural applications due to its clean appearance and its flush top surface.

Grating Hinge Kit
PMWI now has a Grating Hinge Kit available that will allow grating panels to be rotated open for access to areas below the grating. The Grating Hinge Kit consists of a few extruded aluminum components that can be used between grating panels where the panel-to-panel interface is located over a support member or it may be adapted to mount directly to our grating embedment. There is also a slam latch option available (if required) to secure grating panel in the closed position. The kit may be utilized with all our aluminum bar grating and plank grating products.
